Octopus advanced glaucoma care

Onset to endstage glaucoma management

Cluster Analysis and Stimulus V testing

The sensitive Cluster Analysis groups visual field defects along nerve fiber bundles, combining high sensitivity with strong specificity to detect early glaucomatous changes. At the other end of the spectrum, the Octopus 900 provides Stimulus V testing with normative data, ensuring reliable detection of late-stage changes.

Dr. N.R. Rangaraj, Premier Eye Care & Surgical Center, India

“I find size V Stimulus, especially in advanced glaucoma, to be very useful.”

Polar Analysis

Compare visual fields with OCT

The Octopus Polar Analysis puts the optic nerve head in the spotlight by projecting local visual field defects along the nerve fiber bundles onto the optic disc. This enables a straightforward correlation with structural defects when comparing visual fields with OCT. Combining structure and function is key to achieving a comprehensive assessment of glaucoma progression.

Prof. Dr. Gábor Holló, Prima Medica Health Centers, Hungary

“… You can immediately go to the OCT to see the same sector for structural change.”

G-Pattern

Test where it matters

In addition to a comprehensive library of visual field patterns, including the most common glaucoma patterns, Octopus perimeters offer physiology-based G and M patterns for central field and macula testing. These patterns are correlated with a nerve fiber bundle map, enabling targeted testing at the points most critical for structure–function correlation.

Prof. Dr. Gábor Holló, Prima Medica Health Centers, Hungary

“… This is an excellent test point distribution to detect the typical accurate nasal step changes.”
