Eyesi Slit Lamp provides the same degrees of freedom and controls as the Haag-Streit BQ 900 slit lamp, such as: rotation and three-axis position of illumination and observation system, slit width and length, inclination and rotation of the slit beam, and filters. For SLT treatment, the laser foot pedal allows for precise placement of laser "shots". 
As trainees look into the microscope, they see exactly what they would expect to see if there was a real patient sitting in front of them. This immersive training experience makes the transition to examining patients with a real slit lamp as easy as can be.

VR training for open-angle glaucoma treatment

The Eyesi Slit Lamp Simulator can be optionally equipped to teach effective SLT treatment, one of the most widely used laser therapies for open-angle glaucoma. The four-tiered courseware guides trainees step by step, from adjusting the laser energy settings to learning the proper lens position and precise aiming. By adjusting the laser settings, positioning the SLT lens, and firing the laser with a foot pedal, trainees learn to place the optimum number and location of laser "shots", monitor performance, and systematically improve it.

Eyesi Slit Lamp offers two didactically structured curricula (coursewares) for self-guided learning. The first courseware, “Diagnostic”, consists of four tiers, which focus on different key aspects of slit lamp examinations including fundoscopy and gonioscopy. The beginners’ courses allow trainees to become acquainted with slit lamp handling and illumination techniques. The advanced courses introduce a wide range of clinical pictures and standard grading systems. Trainees proceed through the curriculum by completing the courses of a tier successively.

The SLT courseware provides trainees with the practical skills required to learn SLT treatment, which is a very complex procedure for beginners.
