The Reliance 7900 instrument stand has been the benchmark in ophthalmic instrument delivery systems for over a decade. Its polycarbonate, contemporary design is scratch- and scuff-resistant, helping to maintain its look and value. The 7900 is designed to conveniently deliver multiple instruments to the patient while maintaining a small yet stable footprint. Offered with the option of including instrument console charging wells (7900 IC) or no charging wells (7900 NC), all 7900 stands are built for wheelchair (WC) accessibility. No matter your exam room needs, we have a model to meet your requirements.

Sleek design for maximum patient access

Features—the slit lamp arm

Switch and electric

  • A chair control rocker switch just below the slit lamp provides a convenient method to adjust the patient positioning for a more comfortable experience
  • Mechanical, counter-balanced arm provides smooth slit lamp height adjustment without the need for electrical controls
  • Supports 12 – 60 lbs. for safe slit lamp positioning
  • An electrical outlet just below the slit lamp allows for improved cord management
  • Rotation locks at 3 pivot points provide critical security for a stable examination
  • Range of vertical travel is 12”
  • The arm easily rotates out of the way for space saving instrument storage

Features—the refractor arm

Upper (refractor) arm

  • Designed for a smooth and effortless delivery of your refractor to the patient
  • The counter-balanced arm is able to support up to 20 lbs.
  • Range of vertical travel is 10”
  • A quick-release collar supporting the arm allows for lowering the arm to meet wheelchair-bound patients
  • A convenient channel on top of the arm provides for better cable management for automated refractors

Halogen overhead lamp

  • Low-voltage halogen bulb with a frosted lens for diffused lighting
  • Can easily adjust to use as a patient reading lamp
  • Convenient on/off switch located on the lamp housing
  • Additional controls for on/off and dimming located on the stand console

  • Slit lamp arm is designed for a lower positioning of the slit lamp
  • A quick-release handle on the refractor arm for greater reach to meet patient needs
  • Paired with a Reliance chair mover, your purchase may qualify for the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) tax credit*

Option—eclipse room light controls

  • Works via an infrared signal from the stand to the room light control wall switch

  • Can be linked to the charging wells, indirect ophthalmoscope, and delivery of the slit lamp
