High-quality surfaces

Easy to clean, attractive appearance

Simple disinfection

Suitable for frequent wipe disinfection

The surfaces used on the Haag-Streit DOMS units have been specially selected to meet the high requirements of a medical facility for cleaning and disinfection. The surfaces offered are smooth and therefore easy to clean. They are also durable and resistant, even with regular wipe disinfection.

MDF with varnish

Versatile look

As standard, DOMS units are offered with coated MDF panels (medium density fiberboards). MDF is a wood fiber with a particularly fine surface and smooth, stable edges that can be profiled in different ways. The MDF panels of the DOMS units are coated with a durable and easy-care two-component plastic varnish, which is available in all Classic RAL colors. The optically slightly structured surface is durable and easy to clean.

MDF with real wood veneer

Elegant wood look

The standard MDF panels (including the edges) are also available with a real wood veneer for an elegant wood look. The 5 mm / 0.2 inch thick real wood veneer is available in beech, birch, maple, cherry or oak. Other veneers are available on request. Please note that the surfaces of real wood veneers may have a grain that may differ from the real wood pattern, as it is a natural product.

Multiplex with real wood veneer

Elegant wood look with exciting multiplex edge

Multiplex panels are glued multi-layer veneer plywood panels with very high dimensional stability. The panels used are coated with real beech wood veneer as standard and have a so-called multiplex edge that creates the so-called “Ildefonso effect”. Other veneers such as birch, maple, cherry or oak are available as options. The real wood veneer surfaces are sealed with a four-fold special protective varnish (four coats) in time-intensive work processes for special durability and resistance. Please note that the surfaces of real wood veneers may have a grain that may differ from the real wood pattern, as it is a natural product.

Multiplex with Resopal

Resistant material in a wide range of colors

Laminate is characterized by very good care and usage properties. Laminate is not plastic, but consists of almost 80% paper. Paper webs impregnated with phenolic and melamine resin, one of the hardest resins, are pressed under heat and high pressure to form a homogeneous panel. Laminate coatings are available in a wide range of plain colors and decorative wood patterns. In Haag-Streit DOMS units, the laminate layer is applied on a multiplex or MDF panel and also features a multiplex or color-matched ABS edge. Choice of color variants Resopal or EGGER. Laminates are resistant to scratches, light effects and liquids/disinfectants.

Artificial stone

Natural stone-like acrylic

The state-of-the-art material LG HI-MACS consists of an acrylic base material and set natural minerals (75%) and pigments. It is characterized by a natural stone-like character and impresses with an exceptional and exclusive look of the surfaces, which are available in over 60 color variants. LG HI-MACS is resistant to dirt, bacteria, and chemicals. The seamless finish ensures effortless cleaning and wipe disinfection, which is an invaluable advantage in hygienically sensitive areas.
