MDF - Medium Density Fiberboard

Standard carrier material

The proven standard carrier material for wooden elements of DOMS examination units. MDF is a type of wood fiber board. MDF boards have a particularly fine surface. The edges are smooth and firm and can be profiled. Therefore, MDF boards are excellent for building examination units as carrier panels. The following surface finishes are available for MDF.

MDF with plastic coating

The surface coating consists of a two-component plastic paint with a slightly textured performance. The surface is durable, easy to clean, and suitable for wipe disinfection. Plastic coating is available in the offered standard RAL Classic colors.

MDF with real wood veneer

The carrier material is also an MDF board, which is veneered with real wood veneer. Additionally, the board is edged with real wood veneer (5 mm solid) on the vertical sides. The following options are available: beech, birch, maple, cherry, or oak. Further veneers are available on request.

MULTIPLEX

Multiplex boards are laminated multi-layered plywood panels. Compared to solid wood or other plywood panels, they have very high dimensional stability and are therefore particularly suitable for processing into tabletops.

MULTIPLEX with real wood veneer

Real wood veneer and multiplex edge The used multiplex panels are coated with real wood veneer beech and have a so-called multiplex edge ('Ildefonso effect'). Optional, additional veneers such as birch, maple, cherry, or oak are available. If the customer desires the optional veneers, they are additionally applied to the beech veneer for production reasons. The real wood veneer surfaces are sealed with a 4-layer special protective lacquer (4 layers of lacquer) in time-intensive work processes. Please note that the surfaces of real wood veneers may have a grain pattern that may differ from the real wood sample, as it is a natural product.

MULTIPLEX with Resopal

The base is also the multiplex panel with beech veneer. The Resopal layer is applied on top of it. The vertical sides also have the so-called multiplex edge ('Ildefonso effect'). The legendary Resopal brand has been one of the most well-known surface materials in the decorative laminate sector for 75 years. Contrary to widespread belief, Resopal is not plastic. A Resopal panel consists of almost 80% paper. Paper sheets impregnated with phenolic and melamine resin, one of the hardest resins, are pressed together under heat and high pressure to form a homogeneous panel. This results in a surface material with well-known good care and usage properties.

LG HI-MACS

Natural Acrylic Stone

The material LG HI-MACS is characterized by a natural stone-like appearance. LG HI-MACS consists of an acrylic base and bound natural minerals (75%) and pigments. Six years of research and development have resulted in a highly modern material with excellent surface properties. According to the manufacturer's specifications, the material is resistant to dirt, bacteria, and chemicals. Ideal conditions for use in highly stressed environments. The seamless processing ensures effortless cleaning and wipe disinfection - an invaluable advantage in hygienically sensitive areas. Not least, there is the exceptional and exclusive appearance of the surfaces. More than 60 color variations are available.
