Haag-Streit has introduced an exciting new feature for the Lenstar 900 optical biometer: the cornea map*. Designed to enhance refractive cataract surgical planning, this feature provides clinicians with critical insights into corneal astigmatism to help make informed decisions about premium intraocular lens (IOL) implantation.
Cornea map – Fast & reliable decision support for premium IOL surgery planning
With the activation of a third infrared LED ring, the Lenstar 900 now captures 16 additional measurement points, bringing the total to 48. This data enables the calculation of an axial curvature-like map of the central anterior cornea (approximately 3mm zone). The cornea map’s visualization provides information about the regularity and symmetry of the astigmatism and can be used to assist in choosing the right lens for toric candidates.
