Haag-Streit to participate in ESCRS Cataract Surgery Learning Lab & Tablao

The ESCRS Cataract Surgery Learning Lab

The ESCRS Cataract Surgery Learning Lab, with simulation and advanced wet lab training, is designed to give participants a unique opportunity and experience to test and learn from the industry. Taking place over three days with 12 sessions in total, ESCRS members have a choice of workshops from one of the three companies supporting the training.

Haag-Streit is delighted to offer the Eyesi Surgical Simulator, which teaches all aspects of cataract surgery. It has been validated for its capacity to help aspiring surgeons acquire essential surgical skills to become safe and effective cataract surgeons.

Each participant will be afforded both simulation and advanced wet lab training. This will allow them to undertake the steps needed to possess a deeper understanding of the essential skills required to undertake each step of cataract surgery, providing a unique holistic active learning experience to begin the journey toward “surgical readiness.”

Please note that while this event is now sold out, ESCRS still encourages attendees to observe the sessions, which takes place in Hall 6 of the exhibition.

The ESCRS Arena/Tablao

After launching the “Arena” to great success at ESCRS 2023 in Vienna, this year’s Congress will see a further innovative concept, blending the spirit of Spain into the content delivery.

Running from Saturday through to Monday, the ESCRS Tablao will kick off each day with its successful “Surgical Pearls,” followed by an introductory workshop, plus debate and discussion.

Haag-Streit is delighted to announce that on Monday, September 9, the intro workshop will feature live presentations of surgical simulators, with the Haag-Streit segment presented by our great friend, Dr. Ivo Ferreria. Expect charisma, flair, and a touch of drama as Dr. Ferreria takes to the ring to showcase the power of the Eyesi Surgical Simulator and its recently launched software!

The ESCRS Tablao is supported by the Societat Catalana d’Oftalmologia Jove.

And that’s not all – return of the OSTC

In addition to both these events, Haag-Streit will run its Ophthalmic Skills Training Center (OSTC) on booth 7.C66 throughout the Congress. Visitors are invited to experience training concepts for cataract surgery, including advanced phaco chopping techniques, and anterior vitrectomy.
