Our jury carefully reviewed hundreds of submissions from 32 countries to select this year’s winners in both the imaging and video categories. Each entry was judged on three key criteria: image quality, technical execution, and disease interest.

Image category – First place

Kasi Sandhanam, Singapore National Eye Centre, Singapore

This winning entry displays persistent pupillary membrane. The images impressed the jury with their precision and artistic presentation. Kasi wins a digital voucher worth 1,500 CHF and will be featured in a leading ophthalmic journal.

Image category – Second place

James Gilman, JPG Imaging LLC, USA

James takes second place with a striking image of a subluxed lens. He wins a digital voucher worth 1,000 CHF.

Image category – Third place

Angela Chappell, Flinders Medical Centre, Australia

Angela earns third place with her image of penetrating keratoplasty post fungal infection. She receives a digital voucher worth 750 CHF.

Video category – First place

Augusto Paranhos Jr, Forno e Paranhos Oftalmologia, São Paulo, Brazil

Augusto’s entry features a Seidel and a perilimbal aqueous vein. The video impressed the jury for its superb clarity and stability. Augusto wins a digital voucher worth 1,500 CHF.
